Flex-N-Gate - Royal Oak

This position is responsible for technical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical support, troubleshooting, and repair of all plant welding and assembly equipment.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Installing, repairing, servicing machinery and equipment support systems
• Identifying and trouble-shooting production problems
• Maintaining production lines and performing predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Supporting daily production addressing downtime expediently resetting faults replacing sensors, cords, caps, shunts, etc in a timely manner.
• Assuring all automatic nut/stud feeders are stocked verifying correct part # and free of debris before filling machine.
• Assuring all sealer/adhesive is working properly, purged as required and replaced when needed.
• Comply with good manufacturing practices along with all safety policies and procedures
• Comply with all quality system procedures, assure red rabbits are ran and recorded each shift, properly communicate any abnormal event if required to appropriate personnel.
• Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions.
• Demonstrate good attendance with the ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Any other duties as assigned by managers, supervisor and/or leaders to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of products, processes, and work.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities / Education & Experience

1. Must be able to work in environment with welding fumes from robots.
2. Industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation
3. A sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory.
4. Robot programming and troubleshooting of the following equipment: FANUC and/or ABB, MOTOMAN, NACHI, KUKA
5. Demonstrate good problem solving skills
6. Able to understand and troubleshoot basic electrical components and schematics
7. Can troubleshoot, repair, and install hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems
8. Can troubleshoot, repair and program resistance and MIG welding equipment
9. Perform basic machining
10. Perform required preventive maintenance checks & related data assuring any related documentation is filled out properly
11. Complete required logs and repair documentation assuring is legible and accurate
12. Knowledge of safety lockout
13. Work independently
14. Execute all job responsibilities in accordance with quality system requirements.
15. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs., twist, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.
16. Related work experience minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing welding maintenance.
17. Minimum education H.S. diploma or GED
18. Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week
