We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Solar Design Engineer to support the design and development of commercial and industrial (C&I) photovoltaic systems. In this role, you will produce construction and permitting drawing packages, conduct site feasibility assessments, and perform energy production modeling contributing to projects from early concept through installation. Responsibilities Provide design assistance in creating commercial PV system interconnection, permitting, and construction drawings using AutoCAD (i.e., site plans, single- or three-line diagrams, elevation drawings, detail drawings) Assist in site feasibility studies and site surveying for PV layouts Perform simulations of solar energy production and analyze PV system performance Assist in creating and compiling information for sales proposals Create bills of materials for project installations and review quotes for equipment purchasing for accuracy Other design tasks assigned by Engineering Manager. Requirements Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in the solar industry Intermediate knowledge of construction codes and standards (i.e., NEC, NFPA 1) Experience with AutoCAD Experience with PV simulation software PVsyst, Helioscope Proficiency in MS Office Strong attention-to-detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Two years or more PV design experience especially in C&I #J-18808-Ljbffr
