Job Description
Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, employees, and property. This role involves providing outstanding guest service while maintaining a safe environment in accordance with company standards. The Security Officer will enforce hotel policies, observe applicable laws, and identify potential dangers or distractions that could impact guests' enjoyment and safety.
Responsibilities: - Monitor security cameras and conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the property.
- Enforce hotel policies and respond promptly to security issues and violations.
- Respond to guest and employee emergencies, providing assistance and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
- Assist with the implementation and execution of safety drills and training sessions for hotel staff.
- Accurately report incidents and maintain detailed security logs for record-keeping and review.
- Must have the ability to drive a company-assigned golf cart or other company-assigned vehicle.
- Adhere to the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy, ensuring compliance at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications: - Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Must have an updated, valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass the company security written test.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s): - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
