Role & responsibilities Design and develop rooftop, commercial, industrial, and utility‑scale solar PV systems. Prepare detailed engineering designs, plant layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and electrical schematics. Perform energy yield assessments and system performance analysis using PVsyst, HelioScope, or similar software. Size and select solar modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, cables, and protection systems. Develop DC and AC electrical designs, cable routing plans, earthing, and lightning protection systems. Ensure designs comply with local regulations, utility requirements, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.). Conduct technical feasibility studies and optimize system performance, cost, and reliability. Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, BOQs, specifications, and project deliverables. Support grid interconnection studies and utility approval processes. Review and validate engineering drawings, calculations, and vendor submissions. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or a related field. 4 to 9 years of experience in solar PV design, renewable energy engineering, or power system design. Proficiency in PVsyst, HelioScope, AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or similar engineering software. Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies, electrical systems, grid integration, and power distribution. Experience with utility‑scale, commercial & industrial (C&I), or rooftop solar projects. Familiarity with international electrical and renewable energy standards and regulations. Understanding of energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid renewable energy systems is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical documentation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Experience in international projects within Germany, the Netherlands, Europe, or global renewable energy markets is preferred.
