Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Medical Coder for a growing healthcare services organization. This is a fully remote direct hire opportunity for candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones .
POSITION OVERVIEW: Scion Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join a growing healthcare organization specializing in orthopedic revenue cycle services. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review and assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services in accordance with coding guidelines.
- Ensure coding accuracy while maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to resolve coding-related questions and claim issues.
- Review clinical documentation to support accurate code assignment.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting established deadlines.
- Stay current on coding updates, payer guidelines, and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in medical coding within a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Orthopedic and/or surgery coding experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: - $20.00/hour, with up to $22.00/hour based on relevant experience.
