Receptionist
Job Summary
Fairport Rehab & Nursing Center, a 142-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a Part-Time Receptionist to provide exceptional front desk coverage on Saturdays (11:45am-4:00pm) and Sundays (3:45pm-9:00pm) with opportunities to pick up additional shifts as needed. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome to residents, visitors, and staff, while also handling phone calls, mail, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
Operate the facility switchboard and paging system with patience, courtesy, and professionalism
Receive, screen, and relay incoming calls, forward phone messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff according to facility policy
Welcome and direct residents, visitors, consultants, emergency personnel, and other guests
Assist with visitor screening procedures as needed
Sign for deliveries and assist with sorting incoming mail
Perform basic clerical duties and provide administrative support as assigned
Maintain a warm, welcoming, and professional front desk environment
Interact respectfully and courteously with residents, families, visitors, and staff
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous receptionist experience preferred
Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and familiarity with standard office applications
Qualifications
Pleasant and professional speaking voice
Strong interpersonal, communication, and observation skills
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
Ability to work independently while demonstrating flexibility, integrity, professionalism, and the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, staff, volunteers, and government agencies under a variety of circumstances
