Network Engineer II
Location- Ft Meade, MD
Clearance- TS/SCI FSP
Salary- $170k-195k/yr

We are seeking team members to support the Network Administration team by providing technical expertise to Network Administrators and System Administrators. This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the current infrastructure, improving system performance, and automating system administration processes.
The position also contributes to the development of algorithms used in modules or models supporting research and development across one or more of the following areas:
Traditional circuit switched networks
Data networks
Access technologies
Wireless systems
Transport media
Network protocols
Network operations
Resource management and provisioning
Traffic and performance modeling
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to Network Administrators and System Administrators, including infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and automation of system administration tasks.
Contribute to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
Conduct Computer Network Defense (CND) operations, plan and install network upgrades, support network design, and perform quality assurance and quality control.
Configure and maintain network diagrams and accreditation documentation.
Integrate hardware and software solutions to meet ISO 9000 requirements and applicable DoD/IC regulations.
Oversee support for all network equipment.
Support integration of the analytic platform into the CND CDC.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or a related discipline and 10 years of relevant professional experience, or
Master's degree in Network Engineering or a related discipline and 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Substitutions:
Four (4) years of relevant Network Engineering experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
Six (6) years of relevant experience may substitute for a Master's degree.
