Interns gain valuable hands‑on experience while providing essential support to students at 21st CCLC summer sites. Commitment: A 5‑week summer program. Interns are expected to be available for the entire duration of the program. Requirements: Attend internship and assigned program orientation in June. Participate in 5 weekly workshop sessions during the internship period. Mandatory orientation: attend in June (tentative: June 24th and/or June 25th, 2026). Full commitment: must be available for the full 5‑week program, July 6 – August 7 2026. Student focus: interested in working with elementary and/or middle school‑aged students. Eligibility: current 11th or 12th grader within Salem Public Schools. Paperwork: must complete all Summer Work Permit requirements. Preferred Candidates: Participated in an OST Internship during the 2025–2026 School Year. Ability to demonstrate commitment to the full duration of the summer program. Clear communication skills and willingness to work with young people in a variety of school/camp based activities. Interested in a career in education or youth services.
